ISBoxer Quick Start: Multiboxing in minutes
E-mail Print PDF

Let's get you multiboxing! If you haven't installed ISBoxer yet, make sure to visit the Get ISBoxer Now! page.

The Quick Setup Video

The video (right) shows how to use the Quick Setup Wizard to create your first team in ISBoxer, how to launch the team and begin playing, in just a couple of minutes.  There are some World of Warcraft-specific features demonstrated in the video, but getting started is pretty much the same regardless of which game you are playing and is well worth a watch either way.

The Quick Start Guide

Our Quick Start Guide should cover most of what you need to know for your first time multiboxing with ISBoxer. The Quick Start Guide comes in regular, and game-specific flavors.

If you're using multiple PCs for your ISBoxer team, make sure to check out the Using Multiple Computers guide.

When things go wrong . . .

Getting started with ISBoxer takes no more than a few minutes. If you find yourself having trouble just getting the games launched, your characters to work together, or for some reason it just doesn't seem to work right, you should come talk to us! The ISBoxer Chat Room typically has at least 40-50 ISBoxer users around the clock, many of whom can help answer your questions; and Lax, the developer of both ISBoxer and Inner Space, is generally available as well. We are all here to help you! If you prefer, the ISBoxer.com Forums are also active and regularly monitored.

When things go right!

So you've gotten started, you're in the game and the things from the Quick Start Guide work. That's great!

You now have the awesome power of ISBoxer at your fingertips.

You're probably already thinking of things you want to work differently. A hotkey here or there, something to click on on or an icon to see, a better way to heal or loot, and so on. If you're like us, it will take some time to get things tweaked exactly how you want it. That's partly because "exactly how you want it" will constantly evolve as you discover new parts of your game; your characters receive some new ability, an old ability gets nerfed, defeating some new boss might mean you need to do something in a new way, a different style of control is more useful in some part of the game, and so on.

There's countless ways that multiboxers are customizing ISBoxer or improving their gameplay. Some of the most common modificiations are covered in our Guides section, and new ideas are constantly being shared and developed on the ISBoxer.com Forums and dual-boxing.com forums. And finally, the ISBoxer User Manual aims to explain the ins and outs of configuring ISBoxer, and what each of the options do.
